1.Post Name:- Soldier General Duty

Educational Qualification:-Class 10th / Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following the grading system, Minimum D Grade (33-40) in each subject or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.

Minimum Physical Requirement :Ht (in Cms)- 170 Wt (in Kgs)- 50 Chest (in Cms)- 77 (+5 CM expansion)

2.Post Name:- Soldier Technical

Educational Qualification:-10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject

Minimum Physical Requirement :Ht (in Cms)- 170 Wt (in Kgs)- 50 Chest (in Cms)- 77 (+5 CM expansion)

3.Post Name :- Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical/ Inventory Management

Educational Qualification:-10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and min 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in class 12th is mandatory.

Minimum Physical Requirement :Ht (in Cms)- 162 Wt (in Kgs)- 50 Chest (in Cms)- 77 (+5 CM expansion)

4.Post Name:- Soldier Tradesman  (10th Pass) 

Educational Qualification:- i)Class 10 simple pass (Steward, Chefs, Artisan (Wood work), Washer Man, Dresser, Tailor and Support Staff) . (ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum of 33% in each subject.

Minimum Physical Requirement :Ht (in Cms)- 170 Wt (in Kgs)- 50 Chest (in Cms)- 77 (+5 CM expansion)

5..Post Name:- Soldier Tradesman (8th Pass)

Educational Qualification:- i)Class 8th simple pass (For Syce, House Keeper & Mess Keeper). (ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum of 33% in each subject.


Minimum Physical Requirement :Ht (in Cms)- 170 Wt (in Kgs)- 50 Chest (in Cms)- 77 (+5 CM expansion)

Age Limit For Soldier General Duty :- (i)17.5 to 21 years as on 1st January 2020

For Others Post Age Limit :-(ii)17.5 to 23 years

Selection Process:- Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test, Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE) and Document Verification

As per this notification, a Web Portal is now live to generate Unique ID for aspiring students seeking Online Admission for the Academic Session 2020-21 in various Institutions (State Universities/Govt. & Provincialised Colleges) under Higher Education (General).

The aspiring students are requested to generate the Unique ID in the Office Web Portal https://directorateofhighereducation.assam.gov.in even if they already have filled up the admission form or already taken admission.
